The Problem

No registration, no contract, no payment.

You cannot be awarded or paid by the federal government without SAM.gov registration, a UEI, and a CAGE code done correctly. A registration with the wrong codes, an incomplete reps-and-certs, or an expired status quietly makes you invisible and ineligible.

We advise on the full foundation and coordinate its execution through vetted partners: SAM.gov registration, UEI, CAGE code, and the NAICS/PSC codes and certifications that make you findable, eligible, and ready to be paid.

How we deliver this

We advise and manage it. A vetted partner files it.

Federal registration is specialized filing work. We do not do the filing ourselves. We advise on the strategy, manage the engagement end to end, and bring in a trusted execution partner to do the hands-on registration, so it is done correctly the first time and you stay in control of the outcome.

What we advise on

The foundation, done right the first time.

SAM.gov registration

We guide complete, accurate registration covering entity validation, UEI, and the full reps-and-certs, executed by our partner so your status is active and clean.

CAGE code

We make sure your CAGE code is secured and your entity data is consistent across every system that matters.

Codes & certs

The NAICS and PSC codes that match what you sell, plus the certifications that make you discoverable to the right buyers.

Maintenance

Renewal and update discipline so your registration never lapses and never costs you an opportunity.

The motion

Registered, coded, and ready to be paid.

How a typical engagement runs

01

Entity validation

We confirm your legal entity data is consistent across SAM.gov, your EIN, and the banking records that must match for payment to clear.

02

SAM and CAGE setup

Our execution partner completes your SAM.gov registration, secures your UEI, and obtains or links your CAGE code, while we manage the engagement so your status is active and clean from day one.

03

Codes and reps

We advise on the NAICS and PSC codes that match what you actually sell and oversee the reps-and-certs that make you discoverable and eligible.

04

Renewal discipline

We set up the annual renewal cadence and monitoring so your registration never lapses and never quietly costs you an opportunity.

Our operating model

We advise and manage. A vetted partner executes the filing.

A consistent operating model on every engagement: scoped to outcomes, managed with dated evidence and named owners, and handed off as something you can run. For specialized filing work like this, the hands-on execution is delivered by a trusted partner under our coordination.

Step 01

Discover & scope

We start with the real situation: your goals, constraints, and what's actually in place. We scope the engagement to outcomes, not hours.

Step 02

Advise & coordinate

We set the strategy and manage execution through a vetted partner. Dated evidence and named owners at every step.

Step 03

Oversee & prove

We oversee the work and measure it against the outcome you hired us for. Progress reported in evidence, not adjectives.

Step 04

Hand off & sustain

We leave you with a motion you can run: documentation, cadence, and clarity, so the results hold after the engagement ends.

FAQ

SAM.gov registration questions

What do I actually need to register in SAM.gov?

You need a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) obtained through SAM.gov, a DUNS number (legacy but still referenced), a CAGE code assigned by the Defense Logistics Agency, correct NAICS and PSC codes that match what you sell, and a complete representations and certifications section. An incomplete or incorrectly coded registration makes you ineligible or invisible without any notice.

Can I just do the SAM.gov registration myself?

Technically yes. Practically, the registration has enough complexity in the codes, certifications, and reps-and-certs section that a first-time registrant commonly makes errors that take months to correct. We advise on every section and coordinate the hands-on filing through vetted execution partners who have done this hundreds of times, so you stay in control and it is done correctly the first time.

How long does SAM.gov registration take?

Initial registration typically processes within three to ten business days once submitted correctly. CAGE code assignment can add additional time. Annual renewal must be completed before expiration or you lose your eligibility status. We track the renewal calendar as part of ongoing federal advisory work.

What happens if our SAM registration has the wrong codes?

Wrong NAICS or PSC codes mean contracting officers looking for your category will not find you, and you may be ineligible for set-asides you qualify for. Fixing codes requires an amendment that takes time and restarts the review. It is a correctable problem, but correcting it costs the weeks you would rather spend on capture activity.

Do we need a CAGE code and SAM registration even if we only plan to subcontract?

A CAGE code is required for prime contractors to pay subcontractors on federal contracts, and many prime contractors require SAM registration for their sub agreements as well. Even if you do not pursue prime contracts immediately, having the registration current keeps your options open and makes you easier to bring onto a team.
