Federal cloud delivery sits where the technical and federal pillars meet. It connects to Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity Operations, and Federal, Defense & Intelligence Systems.
AWS GovCloud is an isolated AWS region designed to host sensitive data and regulated workloads. It meets ITAR requirements, supports FedRAMP High, and provides the data residency and access controls required by federal agencies handling CUI, export-controlled data, and certain defense workloads. Many federal contracts require GovCloud as the deployment environment.
Many cannot, without experience specific to it. Service availability, identity controls, logging requirements, and network boundary standards in GovCloud differ materially from the commercial regions.
