The Problem

Six and seven-figure commitments are not a form.

Private Pricing Agreements and Enterprise Discount Programs move the biggest numbers in the AWS ecosystem, and they're where the most expensive mistakes happen too. Mis-sized commitments, missed thresholds, and unmanaged drawdown turn a leverage point into a liability that shows up months later.

We manage the high-stakes PPA and EDP motion from the channel side: structuring the commitment, aligning it to real consumption, and running the cadence that keeps the agreement working in your favor across its life.

What we execute

Enterprise commitments, structured and managed.

Commitment structuring

We size the commitment against real and projected consumption, so the discount is aggressive enough to matter without exposing you to shortfall risk.

Deal desk navigation

We run the negotiation and approval path with the program and pricing teams, keeping the agreement moving through a process that stalls many partners.

Drawdown tracking

Ongoing monitoring of consumption against commitment, with early warning when a trajectory needs correction before it costs you.

Renewal & optimization

As the term progresses, we manage the renewal and re-sizing so each cycle reflects how the business has actually grown.

The motion

Size it right, negotiate it through, manage it to close.

How a typical engagement runs

01

Consumption baseline

We model your real and projected AWS consumption, including partner-influenced revenue, to establish what commitment level is credible and what discount tier it supports.

02

Commitment structuring

We size the PPA or EDP commitment to maximize the discount while keeping shortfall risk within bounds your business can absorb if growth comes in under forecast.

03

Deal desk navigation

We run the negotiation and approval path with the AWS pricing and program teams, keeping the agreement moving through a process that stalls many partners.

04

Drawdown management

We monitor consumption against commitment on an ongoing basis and flag trajectory issues early, before they become shortfall liabilities at term end.

Our operating model

We advise. Then we execute and carry it to completion.

A consistent operating model on every engagement: scoped to outcomes, built with dated evidence and named owners, and handed off as something you can run.

Step 01

Discover & scope

We start with the real situation: your goals, constraints, and what's actually in place. We scope the engagement to outcomes, not hours.

Step 02

Build & execute

We do the work: build the system, run the process, produce the artifacts. Dated evidence and named owners at every step.

Step 03

Operate & prove

We operate what we build and measure it against the outcome you hired us for. Progress reported in evidence, not adjectives.

Step 04

Hand off & sustain

We leave you with a motion you can run: documentation, cadence, and clarity, so the results hold after the engagement ends.

FAQ

PPA and EDP questions

What is a Private Pricing Agreement and when does it matter?

A Private Pricing Agreement (PPA) is a custom discount structure negotiated between AWS and a partner for a specific customer opportunity. It is used when the standard channel margin does not make a deal competitive or when a customer's volume justifies a negotiated rate. PPAs carry strict conditions and expiration dates that require active management.

What is an Enterprise Discount Program and who qualifies?

The Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) is an AWS commitment-based discount structure for enterprise customers. Partners often drive EDP conversations as part of a larger deal, and managing the commitment sizing, thresholds, and drawdown is where most mistakes occur. The commitment has to be sized correctly at the outset or the economics break in year two.

What are the most common mistakes in PPA and EDP management?

Mis-sized commitments that the customer cannot drawdown, missed thresholds that trigger a claw-back, and expired agreements that nobody renewed in time. Each of those is a recoverable problem before it happens and an expensive problem after. Our job is to own the calendar and the documentation that prevents them.

Do you handle the negotiation with AWS directly?

We coordinate the process and manage the documentation, positioning, and timeline. Direct negotiation with AWS requires the partner's APN account and internal AWS stakeholders. We work alongside your team and your AWS counterparts to make the case and manage the back-and-forth.

How do we know if a PPA or EDP is the right structure for our deal?

That assessment is part of the engagement. We look at the deal size, the customer's commitment appetite, the services involved, and your current partner tier before recommending a structure. The wrong structure is worse than no structure, and we will say so if that is what the analysis shows.
